Enjoy some spooky Halloween fun with my spine chilling short story.

THE NEWSPAPER BOY

Thaddeus stepped from his dark hiding place.

“Cool costume,” said a boy encased in a silver box.

“Thank you,” answered Thaddeus tipping his grey cap. “What are you?” he asked.

“A robot,” answered the silver box.

Thaddeus wasn’t sure what a robot was. He had a hard time keeping up with modern trends. He looked down at the short pants and suspenders he had been wearing for almost 100 years. His costume never changed.

“Happy Halloween!” said the robot as he walked away.

Thaddeus turned to join a group of trick-or-treaters. He wanted to have some fun before returning to haunt the cemetery.
